FAQ

How many new Digimon does the trailer fully reveal?
Eleven named cards appear with artwork (YukimiBotamon through WarGreymon in the montage). The chart grid also shows many question-mark slots, and on-screen captions say only a small part is shown with many more on the way.
Is Angewomon in the Definitive Edition trailer?
Yes. Angewomon appears on an Ultimate Vaccine profile card with on-card text: Digivolves from Angemon, Frigimon and Tailmon. The trailer does not publish DWDE stats or care rules for that path.
What is the new egg line shown in the trailer?
YukimiBotamon hatches from the new fifth egg, then Nyaromon digivolves from YukimiBotamon, and Salamon digivolves from Nyaromon, according to on-card text.
Which signature moves are named for new species?
Feature 06 cites Cat’s Eye on Tailmon footage and Needle Spray on Togemon footage as signature attacks of the new species.
Are Mega evolutions like WarGreymon confirmed with requirements?
Cards show Mega stage labels and some evolution sources (for example WarGreymon from MetalGreymon), but the trailer does not publish DWDE stats, timers, or care rules.
Why do some cards lack stage or attribute pills?
The video itself omits those fields—MetalSeadramon appears as a wireframe card without stage text, and Togemon’s card does not show stage or attribute in the trailer frame we verified.
Can new Digimon be disabled?
Yes. The toggle list includes a New Digimon switch alongside widescreen and other options.

Which Digimon appear in the Definitive Edition trailer?

The 05 NEW DIGIMON segment shows profile cards for a partial roster and a 118-slot chart mostly filled with ? icons. On-screen captions say only a small part is shown with many more on the way—not a complete dex leak. Is Angewomon in the trailer? Yes—as an Ultimate · Vaccine card listing Angemon, Frigimon, and Tailmon as sources; that is label text only, not verified in-game evolution math.

What about the fifth egg and the YukimiBotamon line?

Feature 08 montage text mentions 8 egg slots and a new egg: YukimiBotamon’s. Card 05 footage ties the Fresh mon to the new 5th egg, then chains Nyaromon → Salamon with on-card evolution captions.

Which signature moves are shown?

Feature 06 NEW FINISHING MOVES calls them the signature attacks of the new species:

Move Digimon shown in battle footage
Cat’s Eye Tailmon
Needle Spray Togemon

Tailmon performing the Cat’s Eye finishing move during DWDE widescreen battle footage

Togemon performing the Needle Spray finishing move with large on-screen move text in DWDE battle

Power numbers flashing on screen are gameplay VFX, not verified stat tables—do not cite them as official move data.

What does the chart grid imply about Megas?

Montage shots show a 118-slot Digimon chart with a Mega section and caption text about 16 techniques per type. Most slots remain ? in the pan across the grid, which reinforces on-screen captions that the card parade is only a small part, many more on the way. Mega icons such as MetalGarurumon and WarGreymon appear with Mega stage pills and single-line evolution sources, but the trailer never walks through every Mega requirement or post-game unlock flow.

Angewomon’s card is notable for three listed sources—Angemon, Frigimon, and Tailmon—showing DWDE is willing to expose multi-path Ultimate labels early. That still does not tell you care mistakes, weight, or hours survived for those paths in the rebuilt ruleset.

How do new species fit the wider feature list?

New Digimon sit in pillar 05–06 of the eight-part list on /guides/dwde-trailer-features/. Widescreen and new maps are separate guides: /guides/dwde-widescreen-428x240/ and /guides/dwde-new-areas-net-surf-village/. Toggle behavior is on /guides/dwde-feature-switches/; project status on /guides/what-is-digimon-world-definitive-edition/.

If you are cross-checking LadyDevimon, WereGarurumon, or MetalSeadramon against your PS1 memory, note that the trailer shows them as card reveals plus short field clips—not full quest lines. Wait for future project posts (YouTube/Discord) before writing recruitment or finisher lists beyond Cat’s Eye and Needle Spray.
