Feature 01 — Widescreen (428×240)
Captions promise more world on the sides with nothing stretched, UI pushed to corners, and 19 maps extended in their original palettes. Arithmetic and battle-field wording are unpacked on /guides/dwde-widescreen-428x240/ so this hub stays an index, not a duplicate spec sheet.
Feature 02 — Remastered art
The 02 REMASTERED ART card cites a redrawn title screen and high-resolution icons, then shows new title art in 4K and widescreen plus examples of icons, figures and eggs accepting high-resolution versions. That is separate from widescreen geometry but shares the same respect-the-original-layout message—assets get sharper, not re-posed for a different genre.
Feature 07 — New maps

Named locations and time-of-day shots appear in feature 07 only—our /guides/dwde-new-areas-net-surf-village/ lists exact spellings from location labels (including UNDER CONSTRUCTION on Net Surf Village). Do not treat fan guesses as confirmed geography.
Features 05–06 — New species and finishers
Species cards and two named finishers are catalogued with stage / attribute / evolution labels exactly as shown on /guides/dwde-new-digimon-shown/. The trailer does not publish stats or evolution requirements for Definitive Edition.

Feature 08 — Extras and toggle list
Beyond counts (eggs, chart slots, save slots, bug fixes), the trailer’s closing message is that the original is still there because each addition is switchable. Switch labels are copied on /guides/dwde-feature-switches/. Project identity and disclaimers sit on /guides/what-is-digimon-world-definitive-edition/.
How do these features compare to other DW1 projects?
Definitive Edition is one nonprofit Unity rebuild among several fan efforts. /guides/digimon-world-fan-remakes-compared/ separates Forge, Recompiled, Maeson, and others so trailer hype is not mixed across repos. Classic mechanics you may still be learning—for evolution timers and care mistakes on PS1—remain on /guides/digimon-world-1-evolution-guide/ and /guides/digimon-world-1-care-mistakes/ with original-game labeling.
